Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

We are in search of a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our NICU. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to neonates and infants in accordance with established protocols. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of neonates and infants and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Recognizing and responding effectively to acute changes in patient conditions and emergencies.
  • Providing care for patients requiring specialized newborn care, including feeding, IV administration, and respiratory support.
  • Offering education and support to families during their time in the NICU.
  • Communicating effectively with the healthcare team through both verbal and written channels.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure from the Virginia Board of Nursing or a compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • Current certifications in BLS and NRP.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Level 3 NICU setting.
