Key Responsibilities
In your role as a NICU RN at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, you will be entrusted with delivering high-quality nursing care to neonates and infants. Your responsibilities will include:
- Promptly identifying and responding to acute changes in the condition of neonates and infants, including emergency situations.
- Providing comprehensive care for newborns, including feeding, intravenous therapy, medication administration, and respiratory support.
- Offering guidance and education to families of patients.
- Effectively communicating with the healthcare team using both verbal and written methods.
Qualifications
- A valid nursing license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or a compact license eligible for practice in Virginia.
- An Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
- Current certifications in BLS and NRP.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a Level 3 NICU setting.
