Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Registered Nurse for our NICU. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to neonates and infants in accordance with established protocols. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and implementing appropriate interventions for neonates and infants.
  • Monitoring and responding to acute changes in patient conditions, including emergency situations.
  • Providing comprehensive care for newborns, including feeding, IV therapy, medication administration, and respiratory support.
  • Offering guidance and education to families of patients.
  • Communicating effectively with the healthcare team through both verbal and written means.

Requirements

  • Current nursing license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or a compact license eligible for practice in Virginia.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Level 3 NICU.
