Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a NICU RN at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, you will be an integral part of our compassionate healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and providing clinical care for neonates and infants in accordance with established protocols.
  • Responding promptly to changes in patient conditions and managing emergency situations effectively.
  • Administering care for newborns, including feeding, IV therapy, medication administration, and respiratory support.
  • Offering guidance and education to families regarding neonatal care.
  • Communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure from the Virginia Board of Nursing or a compact license eligible for practice in Virginia.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • Current certifications in BLS and NRP.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Level 3 NICU setting.
