Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Registered Nurse for our NICU. In this role, you will perform essential nursing duties for newborns and infants in accordance with established protocols. Your responsibilities will include conducting neonatal assessments, implementing appropriate interventions, and supporting the developmental needs of infants.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promptly identifying and responding to acute changes in the condition of neonates and infants, including emergency situations.
  • Providing care for patients requiring newborn interventions, including feeding, IV therapy, medication administration, and respiratory support.
  • Offering guidance and education to families regarding infant care.
  • Effectively communicating with all healthcare team members using both verbal and written skills.

Required Qualifications

  • A valid nursing license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or a compact license eligible for practice in Virginia.
  • An Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • Current certifications in BLS and NRP.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Level 3 NICU setting.
