As the Senior Category Manager for Capital Expenditure, your primary responsibility will be to lead, develop, strategize, implement, analyze, and execute sourcing strategies and procurement initiatives related to construction, warehouse integration, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:
Formulating and executing sourcing strategies for categories related to construction and integration.

Supplier Management:
Identifying and assessing suppliers, negotiating agreements, and managing relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.

Cost Management:
Evaluating costs, monitoring budget adherence, and pinpointing opportunities for savings and efficiency enhancements.

Risk Management:
Evaluating and mitigating risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and regulatory changes.

Project Coordination:

Working alongside project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate construction projects by ensuring timely procurement of necessary goods and services.


Contract Management:

Overseeing the complete contract lifecycle, which includes drafting, reviewing, and executing contracts, as well as managing amendments and terminations.


Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in procurement practices.

Data Analysis:

Employing data analytics tools to collect and analyze procurement data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to enhance procurement processes.


Continuous Improvement:
Recognizing opportunities for process enhancements, implementing best practices, and driving initiatives for continuous improvement within the procurement function.

Communication:

Effectively communicating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and other external parties to ensure smooth procurement operations and achieve project goals.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

At least 5 years of experience in category management, including negotiating high-value contracts, preferably in Capital Expenditure, Engineering, Integration, Equipment, and/or Construction.

Experience in reviewing contract language and redlining Statements of Work (SOWs).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to create complex formulas in Excel.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may involve weekends; ability to travel domestically up to 10%.


Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree.
Capability to identify opportunities for increased accuracy, resource optimization, and the development, recommendation, and implementation of solutions.
Experience with e-sourcing platforms and auctions.

Ability to produce insightful, value-added research with detailed explanations regarding the drivers of results; generate clear, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations.

Strong aptitude for understanding and analyzing large volumes of data from various sources; conduct complex research of data, processes, policies, procedures, and/or systems.

Ability to adapt communication styles and methods to effectively navigate new work structures, processes, or cultures.
