Position Overview
As a Senior Manager of IT Procurement, you will utilize your technical expertise to devise and execute strategic sourcing strategies for various IT expenditure categories across multiple business units. Your role will be pivotal in driving business value while minimizing procurement risks through competitive bidding, negotiation of terms, and thorough analysis of market trends.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Lead Negotiations**: Utilize your IT knowledge to negotiate commercial and legal terms with both new and existing vendors, ensuring risk mitigation and enhanced value for internal stakeholders.
2. **Develop Sourcing Strategies**: Create and implement sourcing strategies while managing key initiatives and addressing emergent issues as necessary.
3. **Team Leadership**: Guide internal and external personnel to achieve objectives across various categories and sourcing initiatives, prioritizing tasks effectively.
4. **Supplier Relationship Management**: Act as the primary contact for resolving recurring supplier issues, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and business stakeholders.
5. **Performance Monitoring**: Oversee supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and business expectations.
6. **Category Management**: Manage categories and provide governance over associated purchases, including risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
7. **Best Practices Implementation**: Identify and apply best practices in sourcing and category management while staying informed on market trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or a related field with 4-7 years of relevant experience, or 6-9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT category sourcing or technical experience in IT-related fields.
- Strong project management and change management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proven data analysis skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
