Job Overview:

The Financial Analyst, FP&A plays a crucial role in evaluating discrepancies against established plans and updating forecasts. This position involves a diverse range of management and external reporting tasks, alongside monitoring Ventas's overall capital expenditures and future capital commitments. The analyst will collaborate extensively with various departments, from Investments to Asset Management, delivering consolidated financial insights to guide strategic decision-making. Additional duties include assisting Asset Management teams with significant strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of earnings reports, including consolidated NOI growth and Q&A for earnings presentations, Monthly Business Reviews, and investor relations inquiries.
  • Examine monthly and quarterly capital expenditure outcomes as part of the financial assessment and earnings reporting processes. Compile and communicate any changes in forecasts for upcoming capital commitments.
  • Work closely with the Asset Management and Investments teams regarding their capital budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate reporting and tracking against actual expenditures; assist management in identifying key risks and opportunities to adhere to established guidelines.
  • Engage with various departments, including Accounting, Construction & Development, and IT, to gather and prepare information for reporting and analytical purposes.
  • Provide comprehensive analytical support to Asset Management teams and senior leadership on significant strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
  • GPA must be included on the resume.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to interpret data trends, draw insights, and create clear, presentable reports for senior management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to self-manage effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Capacity to handle multiple deadlines in a dynamic setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
