Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Facilitator role is designed as a developmental opportunity for employees to enhance their understanding of the Crane Business System (CBS) and cultivate leadership capabilities while driving key continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CBS Tool Mastery: Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of CBS tools including Value Stream Mapping, Transactional Process Improvement, Material Replenishment, Standard Work for Flow, and Problem Solving.
  • Project Leadership: Act as a project leader or provide support for cross-functional projects, Just-Do-It initiatives, and Kaizen events. Collaborate with value stream and functional managers to execute strategic business priorities and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Performance Metrics: Assist in the effective implementation of Key Performance Indicator tools across the site, facilitating daily problem-solving and resolution as identified through these metrics.
  • Kaizen Participation: Engage in and support Kaizen events throughout the site, ensuring thorough preparation and follow-up actions are completed.
  • 5S Standards: Promote and uphold CBS 5S standards across the organization through regular audits and mentoring of all departments.
  • Personal Development: Enhance facilitation skills to effectively lead Crane Kaizen events that yield sustainable improvements.
  • CBS Administration: Support the CBS Manager with project tracking and SharePoint administration to meet site requirements.
  • Rotation Opportunity: After a designated period, transition into another role where the acquired CBS knowledge can be utilized to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a direct operations support role with a proven track record in driving continuous improvement, or 2 internships in related fields with demonstrated leadership.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with operational and supply chain processes, structured continuous improvement methodologies, and basic project management.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and project management abilities; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in business productivity tools.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions:
Standard office environment with potential exposure to manufacturing conditions. Safety equipment may be required.
