Process Engineering Internship

Internship Opportunity:
GBA's Life Sciences team is seeking a student to join their team for a summer internship in our headquarters in Lenexa, KS, Broomfield, CO, or Bothell, WA.
Serving many of the world's top 20 bio-pharma companies, the Life Sciences group is an integrated team of architects, engineers, and specialists.
Project assignments include pharmaceutical and Biotech manufacturing facilities, industrial warehouses, research and office facilities, clean rooms, R&D/QA labs, and pilot plants.
Summer interns work alongside experienced personnel on process, utility, equipment, and construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mass and energy balances, and heating, cooling, and flow calculations
- Provide research and assistance to develop equipment and instrumentation specifications
- Interact with vendors to specify, select, and develop procurement details for equipment and instrumentation
- Develop draft User Requirement Specifications
- Prepare equipment spec sheets
- Develop draft Flow Diagrams and P&ID
Requirements:
- Pursuing BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Must have completed at least 3 years of collegiate education
- Interest in working in a collaborative team environment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
- Previous internships are a plus
