Credentialing Specialist Job Description

Radia Medical Imaging is seeking a skilled Credentialing Specialist to support our credentialing team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately complete professional applications for hospitals and/or payers, ensuring timely review and signature.
  • Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to improve processes and communicate effectively with physicians and hospital partners.
  • Ensure physician licenses are renewed prior to expiration, documenting payments and outstanding items.
  • Verify primary sources for new and existing physicians, maintaining due diligence.
  • Coordinate proctoring processes and maintain current CME documentation for medical professionals.
  • Manage assigned physician files, updating information as processed, and archiving documents based on retention schedules.
  • Process medical staff application fees and dues, ensuring accuracy prior to submission.
  • Provide back-up coverage for hospital and payer credentialing.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Credentialing certification preferred, with ongoing education encouraged.
  • 2+ years of experience in hospital medical staff settings, with professional and/or payer credentialing and enrollment experience.
  • Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures, as well as Out of State Medical Board Licensure application processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
