POSITION SUMMARY
The Spa Host is a guest-focused professional responsible for managing the front desk and fostering positive guest interactions within the spa or wellness facility. The primary role of the Spa Host is to guarantee that every visitor receives a gracious welcome, a seamless check-in and check-out experience, and exceptional service throughout their stay. Furthermore, the Spa Host acts as the initial point of contact between spa management and the host/linen runner teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties may be assigned as required:
- Greet and engage with guests as they arrive and depart from the facility.
- Deliver a premium experience while conversing with guests and members.
- Ensure that all spa areas are tidy, organized, and adequately supplied.
- Maintain current knowledge of facility offerings, features, and services.
- Conduct tours of the facilities for guests, highlighting the features and advantages available.
- Provide guests with lockers, robes, and spa slippers upon arrival.
- Review guest appointments and assist in escorting them to their treatment areas.
- Address guest inquiries and booking requests while they are on-site.
- Assist in various areas of the spa as necessary without needing direction.
- Respond promptly and accurately to all guest requests; follow up to ensure satisfaction.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
- Implement and uphold all core values and standards set by the company.
- Be open to additional responsibilities as deemed necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in a similar role within a high-end salon and spa is preferred.
- Experience in a busy luxury spa or resort setting is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is necessary.
- Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.
- Strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail while working under pressure.
- Ability to resolve issues to the satisfaction of both guests and the organization.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest level of integrity in all situations.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to thrive in a busy and sometimes high-pressure environment.
SUPERVISORY ROLE
This position does not entail direct supervisory responsibilities.
