Clinical Quality Coordinator Role

As a Clinical Quality Coordinator at the University of Texas at Austin, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing clinical quality activities that drive excellence in patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement clinical quality initiatives that improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Support the Clinical Quality Committee and subcommittees in their efforts to identify and address quality gaps.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address patient safety events.
  • Work closely with the Policy Coordinator to identify policy gaps and manage the document management system.
  • Collaborate with the Staff Development team to identify staff education needs and develop training programs.
  • Participate in clinical and departmental committees and group meetings to provide input on quality improvement initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage Symplr Safety to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Patient Experience Coordinator to identify and address service recovery and event mitigation opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, quality improvement).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical quality or quality improvement role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
