SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

Location: Springfield, Missouri

As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will operate within a professional office environment, managing incoming calls from new clients to arrange outpatient and psychiatric services. Your role is crucial in shaping the initial experience our clients have with Burrell Behavioral Health.

This is a full-time role that includes benefits. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a competitive pay rate of $15 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle all incoming calls to the Referral Office, directing them to the appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • Assess customer inquiries to determine service needs, including urgent situations, and process calls accordingly.
  • Schedule initial appointments for Outpatient and Psychiatric Services for clients.
  • Verify availability for Initial Visits, Rafins, and Intra-Agency Requests for Concurrent Services for providers in the Southwest Region. Maintain and manage the appointment system effectively.
  • Perform various clerical duties essential for office operations, including sending appointment notifications, reminders, filing, and maintaining activity logs, while ensuring timely updates in tracking systems.
  • Utilize multiple software systems and online resources to confirm client insurance eligibility and referral sources.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations consistently when interacting with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in customer service, call center, or medical scheduling roles.
  • A positive customer service attitude and approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer usage.
  • Capability to work independently.
  • Strong typing skills.
  • Able to build effective relationships through phone and in-person interactions, while following instructions and accepting guidance.
