Position Overview
The Strategic Procurement Product Leader plays a pivotal role in the strategic advancement of product capabilities within the Procurement division, crafting and refining a visionary roadmap for their designated product sector.

This position collaborates with cross-functional teams and external partners to develop capabilities that align with organizational objectives and integrate seamlessly with existing Procurement processes and technical frameworks.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Development and Capability Enhancement:
    Formulate a capability roadmap for the specific product area, collaborating with the Capability Process and Product Lead to ensure alignment with overarching Tech & Systems objectives.
  2. Innovation and Value Generation:
    Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to comprehend current and prospective process and technical requirements, identifying essential capabilities to address challenges.
  3. Capability Implementation:
    Lead the product development lifecycle, creating actionable product backlog items and prioritizing them based on the capability roadmap and stakeholder feedback.
  4. Change Management and Communication:
    Work in conjunction with the BTS team to execute product backlog items, systematically reviewing product integrations and their effects on existing systems.
  5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    Collect feedback from stakeholders utilizing the products to pinpoint opportunities for ongoing enhancement in both current capabilities and the product rollout methodology.
  6. Governance of Processes:
    Monitor the advancement of product development against the backlog for the respective product area, providing updates to the Capability Product Manager and adjusting the strategic roadmap as necessary.
  7. Leadership in Thought:
    Contribute to a collaborative environment that prioritizes product excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Competencies

Extensive procurement and domain knowledge to oversee technical capability and product architecture requirements, facilitating strategic and informed procurement decisions across various functional domains.

Strong internal stakeholder management and influence capabilities, enabling oversight of intricate projects.

Advanced technical and analytical skills, along with a solid understanding of product development.

Creative problem-solving abilities combined with a solution-focused mindset, fostering innovative approaches that challenge conventional methods and ensuring effective communication at all organizational levels.

Strategic foresight and accountability, evaluating future business requirements and providing analytical support.

Proficient in cross-functional collaboration, adeptly navigating diverse team dynamics.

Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, promoting empathetic interactions and productive dialogue.


Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree is required; a focus in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is preferred.

A minimum of 9 years of experience in procurement, technology, or a related business or operational role.

Experience in managing cross-functional initiatives and engaging with senior leadership.

Demonstrated expertise in technology systems and product development within a procurement context.

Experience in developing capability roadmaps and driving execution towards organizational goals.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.

Familiarity with the pharmaceutical sector is preferred.
