The Opportunity

We are seeking a Procurement Manager for Plastic Materials. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to define and execute the strategy for the Plastics category while driving our unified procurement vision.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic Management & Relationship Development:
Act as the primary liaison for global plastics category requirements.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders as a trusted leader and partner.
Translate business objectives into a cohesive category strategy with a clear execution plan.

Market Analysis & Strategy Adaptation:
Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape of suppliers.
Adjust category strategies as necessary to reflect market dynamics and ensure alignment across business units.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Identify and implement opportunities for ongoing enhancement within the category.
Advance sourcing methodologies, process optimization, and cost efficiencies.

Supplier Management & Cost Optimization:
Provide insights into developing and utilizing supplier capabilities.
Balance value for money with cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
Drive reductions in Total Cost of Ownership through analytical approaches.

Operational Excellence & Performance Measurement:
Own and implement sourcing strategies for the category.
Measure and evaluate category performance, striving for industry-leading benchmarks.

Collaboration & Leadership:
Work alongside procurement teams across divisions to foster a collaborative culture.
Partner with direct-material procurement colleagues to establish best practices in strategic sourcing.
Lead initiatives across diverse teams and cultures.
Mentor and develop talent within the procurement function.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, engineering, or project management.
Proven experience in leading teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to create actionable plans.
Technical knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes (injection molding, blow molding, extrusions, etc.).

Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPM, PMP).
Comprehensive knowledge of business processes related to procurement and category management.
Strong interdisciplinary, intercultural, influencing, and networking skills.
Familiarity with regional markets and international experience.
Exceptional negotiation and contracting skills.
Experience in supplier management.
