Job Title: Director of Operations

At iJility, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our business, ensuring that we meet our strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with clients and third-party partners to negotiate contracts and drive business growth.
  • Direct supply chain sourcing and inventory management to meet sales expectations.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and innovation teams to develop new products and services.
  • Oversee customer service and fulfillment to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Liaise with leadership to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals and budgets.
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day operation of business to ensure smooth progress and efficiency.
  • Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback to ensure a positive and confident leadership example.
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures and implement improvements to drive operational excellence.
  • Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability and growth.
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate overall department performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure that the company remains compliant with legal and established industry regulations, including OSHA requirements.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of managers, supervisors, and support staff to ensure adequate staffing, training, and performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety across all levels of the operation.

P&L Management & Financial Oversight:

  • Develop, manage, and report on the facility's annual budget to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Control costs related to labor, equipment, supplies, and facilities while ensuring service levels are met.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key financial metrics, including cost per unit processed, operational costs, and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles, including supply chain, finance, and customer service.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
