Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food according to specifications before and during service, adhering to portion sizes, quality standards, and departmental policies. Ensure proper labeling, dating, and wrapping of food items in compliance with safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the chef regarding instructions or training needs.
  • Maintain compliance with health codes and sanitation regulations, following all safety and kitchen protocols.
  • Keep food, utensils, and equipment organized and clean.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties, including end-of-day inventory management as per guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand prep sheets and follow instructions accurately.
  • Competence in using kitchen tools safely, including knives and small equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs or more and remain standing or bending for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, and whip various foods and liquids, as well as operate kitchen equipment.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and damp environments.
