Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food according to specifications before and during service, adhering to portion sizes, quality standards, and department policies, while ensuring proper labeling, dating, and wrapping of food products in line with ServSafe procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the chef regarding instructions or training needs.
  • Maintain compliance with all health codes and sanitation regulations, following safety and kitchen protocols.
  • Keep food, utensils, and equipment organized and clean.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties, including end-of-day inventory, according to established guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand prep sheets and follow instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency in using kitchen tools safely, including knives and small equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be capable of lifting 20 lbs or more and standing or bending for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, and whip various foods and liquids, as well as operate kitchen equipment.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and damp environments.
