The Opportunity

Delaware North Travel and Hospitality is seeking a full-time Culinary Preparation Specialist to contribute to our operations at Buffalo Airport in Buffalo, New York. This role requires the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously in a dynamic kitchen environment that prioritizes teamwork and excellence.

Hourly wage: $17.14

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food according to specifications before and during service, adhering to portion sizes, quality standards, and departmental policies. Ensure proper labeling, dating, and wrapping of food products in compliance with ServSafe procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the chef regarding instructions or training needs.
  • Maintain compliance with all health codes and sanitation regulations, following safety, security, and kitchen procedures.
  • Keep food, utensils, and equipment clean and organized.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties, including end-of-day inventory in accordance with established guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand prep sheets and follow instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency in safely using kitchen tools, including knives and small equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be capable of lifting 20 lbs or more and standing or bending for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, and whip various foods and liquids, as well as operate kitchen equipment.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and damp environments.
Shift Details

Day shift, evening shift, holidays, and weekends may be required.
