Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess at least an associate degree or its equivalent. A minimum of two years of general clerical experience alongside one year of specialized experience is essential. Compensation will be aligned with the applicant's experience and educational background, adhering to the maximum allowable limits. Candidates should demonstrate high motivation, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail.

General Experience: Candidates should have progressively responsible clerical, office, or related work experience that indicates the ability to acquire the specific knowledge and skills necessary for the role.

Specialized Experience: This role requires progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience that involves regular use of technology for tasks such as word processing, data entry, or report generation. A strong command of specialized terminology and the ability to understand and apply relevant rules, regulations, or laws is required. Such experience is typically found in legal firms, banking institutions, educational organizations, social services, insurance companies, real estate offices, and corporate human resources departments.

Preferred Skills and Experience: A four-year degree or completion of a paralegal program is preferred. Experience with word processing, web-based platforms, and data entry is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic case filing systems, particularly CM/ECF (Case Management/Electronic Case Filing), is advantageous. Strong judgment, the ability to apply concepts effectively, excellent oral and written communication skills, and proficient proofreading abilities are crucial. A demonstrated commitment to professional development and lifelong learning is also preferred. Previous court experience is a plus.
