Job Overview

Position Summary:

The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department by providing essential administrative assistance to the HR Director. This position encompasses various HR functions, including benefits management and recruitment support, while serving as a key liaison to staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing phone inquiries, organizing files, and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all HR matters.
  • Welcome all employees warmly, addressing their HR-related needs and providing necessary assistance.
  • Regularly update and disseminate the list of job openings to relevant community agencies and internal bulletin boards.
  • Screen candidates actively and conduct preliminary interviews.
  • Perform reference checks for all new hires.
  • Coordinate the New Team Member Orientation program, preparing materials and presenting to new employees.
  • Assist with the onboarding process, including job offers and paperwork, as well as I-9 form administration.
  • Manage the ordering and inventory of uniforms and name tags.
  • Support the separation process when necessary, including uniform collection and final paycheck issuance.
  • Oversee the organization of non-exempt personnel files, ensuring daily filing is up to date.
  • Guide new employees through online benefits enrollment.
  • Facilitate various employee engagement initiatives, such as monthly celebrations and recognition programs.
  • Keep team member bulletin boards current and informative.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of departmental policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Familiarize oneself with the property’s services, amenities, and offerings.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Be available for work assignments beyond the regular schedule, including evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and property policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, specifically in benefits, recruitment, training, and employee relations. Previous office experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Friendly demeanor and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading and writing English.
