AHRC NYC is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Community Resource Specialist to contribute to our Staten Island Advance & Earn initiative.

This role offers an annual compensation of $47,500, along with a comprehensive health benefits package designed to support the well-being of our staff and their families.

Key Responsibilities


The Community Resource Specialist will assist program participants in navigating and accessing essential services and benefits, including housing, childcare, and educational opportunities.

Collaboration with the Licensed Master Social Worker and DYCD is crucial to ensure adherence to the directives of the Advance and Earn training program and compliance with all relevant human service regulations.


Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:40 PM

Essential Duties


- Foster and maintain positive relationships with program participants to facilitate access to community and health services.

- Build connections with various community and governmental organizations that provide necessary services.

- Assist participants in completing applications for supportive services and provide appropriate referrals.

- Create and maintain a comprehensive resource directory of local social service providers and governmental agencies, including mental health, housing, medical care, higher education, childcare, and transportation.

- Interact with participants in a professional and ethical manner.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.
