The Administrative Services Assistant plays a crucial role in the financial and operational functions of a Community College. Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Director or Associate Director of Finance and Administrative Services, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Managing procurement processes and accounts payable functions.
- Overseeing accounts receivable and cashiering operations.
- Coordinating event scheduling and facility management.
- Maintaining inventory and asset management systems.
- Processing payroll and managing labor contracts.
Additionally, the role requires participation in various ceremonies and meetings, which may include evening or weekend commitments.
QualificationsApplicants should possess an Associate's degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary competencies for the role.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in a cashiering, finance, financial aid, or similar office environment.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in information technology, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Familiarity with financial, student, or human resources databases.
- Background in accounting or finance.
- Understanding of state government regulations.
- Experience in accounts receivable management.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience in an educational setting.
