Job Summary

The Ear, Nose & Throat Institute of Connecticut is seeking a skilled New Patient Coordinator to provide exceptional customer service and guide prospective patients through the intake process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned by office management.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for individuals inquiring about becoming new patients at our practice.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, providing information about our services, providers, and appointment availability.
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information accurately and efficiently; acquire necessary authorizations and referrals as needed.
  • Schedule new patient appointments, coordinating with medical staff to ensure availability and appropriate scheduling.
  • Communicate with patients to confirm appointments, provide necessary pre-appointment instructions, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Assist new patients with completing intake forms and medical history questionnaires, ensuring all necessary information is collected prior to their appointment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Requirements
  • Must be willing to travel to work in each of our locations.
  • Desire and ability to continuously improve one's knowledge.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or patient-facing role within a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and effectively address their needs.
