Position Overview

This role is designed to deliver technical support and compassionate patient care tailored to the specific needs of individuals across designated areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and communicate clinical information. Monitor vital signs, height and weight, fluid intake and output, pulse oximetry, and collect biological samples.
  • Obtain laboratory specimens and conduct testing in line with established protocols and regulatory standards, including COLA and CLIA.
  • Support patient activities and care as directed by the supervising nurse or designated personnel, in accordance with the patient's care plan.
  • Administer basic wound care as necessary.
  • Ensure patient safety considering their age and medical condition.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy regarding all information and records at all times.
  • Maintain a hygienic and secure environment, and assist in implementing proper aseptic techniques, isolation protocols, and infection control measures.
  • Aid in the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of patients.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and accompany them during examinations or procedures, or assist with other treatment modalities.
  • Ensure patient care areas are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist with patient restraints and maintain safety precautions; document and report data related to patient needs, emergencies, and atypical behaviors of patients and families.
  • Travel to various facility locations as required.
  • Participate in staff meetings or other company-mandated gatherings as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required, along with completion of one of the following:
  • Medical Corpsman program completion with one year of relevant experience (or)
  • EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic), AEMT (Advanced-EMT), or Licensed Paramedic course completion with one year of relevant experience (or)
  • Completion of the first year of an accredited Nursing program and one year of relevant experience (or)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an ER Technician in an emergency room setting.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory; PALS certification is preferred.
  • Experience in IV initiation, phlebotomy, and EKG monitoring is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
