Position Summary
The role involves supporting local computer network operations. Responsibilities include installing, modifying, and performing minor repairs on personal computer hardware and software systems, along with providing technical assistance and training to users.
Key Responsibilities
- Install or replace hardware and peripheral devices such as monitors, keyboards, and printers at user workstations.
- Set up and configure new computer systems.
- Act as a help desk resource for hardware or software issues, resolving problems or coordinating with vendors as necessary.
- Identify and train staff on new and updated IT equipment and software, including presentation tools and projector setups.
- Serve as a backup for basic system administration in the absence of the network administrator.
- Test new and upgraded IT systems.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support through troubleshooting, bug fixes, and technical documentation updates.
- Utilize logical reasoning to assess alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- High school diploma or GED, with one to three months of related experience or training.

- 1-2 years of experience in PC hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with various software applications is beneficial.
- No foreign language skills are required, but experience in a global context is a plus.
- Basic mathematical skills for computations and analysis.
