Relationship Manager, Equipment Finance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Relationship Manager to join our team at Webster Bank. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will be responsible for soliciting lease and loan transactions ranging from $150,000 to $10,000,000 through new business development and retention of current customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Webster Bank in the lending community to develop profitable loan volume through direct channels as well as vendor/dealer market.
  • Execute highly focused prospecting activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Structure financing solutions for customers and prospects utilizing existing and new Webster Bank products.
  • Collect and submit all necessary documentation to underwrite and obtain credit approval.
  • Aggressive follow-up with prospective customers and referral sources to secure new business.
  • Draft and deliver proposals to prospective borrowers; close transactions.
  • Ensure high-quality service to customers and stakeholders.
  • Submit transactions to credit analysts for review, providing a detailed write-up and justification.
  • Facilitate closing of transactions via phone or in person.
  • Develop a customer base within assigned territory.
  • Document calling activity using Salesforce.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of related experience, preferably in commercial lending or business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new customer relationships and close transactions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Strong selling and pricing skills, as well as experience in credit structuring.
  • Product knowledge of legal and tax lease parameters.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Info Analysis.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000 USD to $135,000 USD. Actual salary may vary based on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
