Business Development Representative for Craft Beer and Spirits

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team in the craft beer and spirits industry. As a key member of our sales force, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our market share in the region.
Your primary focus will be on developing and executing sales strategies to increase volume and distribution of our products among retail accounts. You will work closely with our district sales managers to implement company programs at the retail level and ensure compliance with established objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Visiting assigned retail accounts to sell volume, increase distribution, monitor price, and manage shelf space
- Building business relationships with customers and presenting professional sales presentations using sales data and sell sheets
- Increasing shelf space and positioning for Anheuser-Busch products; introducing new brands and packages when appropriate
- Maintaining published product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts by monitoring and rotating stocks
- Negotiating terms of agreements and closing sales
- Working with the credit department to resolve credit issues, including collecting past due balances
- Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback to the district manager on buying trends
- Participating in new product launch events, including tastings/samplings
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues. Strong selling and negotiation skills are essential, as well as the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
A successful Business Development Representative will be self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 1+ years of experience in sales, merchandising, or a related field preferred.
Estimated Salary: $64,823 per year
