Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Clerk to join our team at Balchem Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our production and packaging machinery operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process orders, including receiving product, tracking delivery information, and verifying payment details.
  • Manage inventory levels and maintain a minimal stock of essential items to ensure continuous production.
  • Research and negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices and availability.
  • Set up and maintain relationships with new vendors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to company guidelines and procedures.
  • Prepare bids for scheduled maintenance and repairs, and schedule repairs as needed.
  • Record and maintain accurate data on documents, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, and D365.
  • Previous experience in ordering, pricing, and preparing purchase orders is highly desirable.
  • Strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions

As a Maintenance Clerk, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, high noise levels, and extreme temperatures. You must be able to tolerate high temperatures and work in a team environment.
