The Maintenance Supervisor is a key role within the Universal Pure organization, responsible for leading and managing a team of maintenance technicians or workers to ensure the efficient and effective operation of maintenance and repair activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervision and Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance personnel, assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Plan and schedule maintenance tasks, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations.
- Budget Management: Manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and implementing cost control measures to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of machinery, equipment, and systems, maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance history and inspections.
- Inventory Management: Manage maintenance-related inventory, spare parts, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors as needed for specialized maintenance tasks, evaluating vendor performance and negotiating contracts when necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment manuals, generating reports on maintenance performance, expenses, and equipment reliability.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
- Experience: Proven experience in maintenance, with at least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and systems, excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, proficiency in computer applications and maintenance management software, knowledge of safety regulations and protocols, and strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
