Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the maintenance department maintains adequate inventory to keep all production and packaging machinery operating at all times, while applying efficiency and cost-effectiveness in meeting these needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process orders, including receiving product, tracking product and delivery information, and verifying payment information to accounts payable.
  • Track all inventory and maintain the minimal required pieces for continued running of production and packaging machinery.
  • Research and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best prices and availability, and maintain functional and productive relationships with all vendors.
  • Operate equipment according to operation guidelines, including safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Prepare bids for scheduled maintenance and repairs, and schedule repairs for equipment off premises and on when necessary.
  • Record and maintain accurate data on documents, and ensure all paperwork is complete in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Keep a neat, clean, and orderly work setting by completing cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Observe safety and security procedures, and report potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Attend all Company-sponsored training events, and maintain a flexible attitude towards improvement and change.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent computer literacy, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and the ability to learn D365.
  • Previous ordering, pricing, and preparing of purchase orders, as well as related knowledge, is highly desirable.
  • Strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation, and communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize are required.
  • A strong work ethic, including punctuality, dependability, and trustworthiness, is necessary.
  • The ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and to write correspondence and effectively present information is required.
  • The ability to communicate and handle conflict in a professional manner is necessary.
  • The ability to give and welcome feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit is required.
Working Conditions

Balchem Cereal Systems requires all employees to adhere to personal protective equipment policies and procedures. Employees may be exposed to wet or humid conditions, working near moving mechanical parts, and extreme temperatures.
