Position Title: Airframe Analysis Engineer

Job Category: Engineering & Design SBU

Overview: An opportunity exists for an Airframe Analysis Engineer with Belcan Engineering Group. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and performance of airframe structures. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, along with substantial experience in structural analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural assessments utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and traditional hand calculations.
  • Engage in planning, modeling, and reviewing results both internally and with clients.
  • Guarantee systematic validation and verification of calculations and models.
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and compile comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate with various teams and maintain communication with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) clients.
  • Oversee project work and guide junior analysts to ensure successful project outcomes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in airframe analysis with a strong technical foundation.
  • Proficient understanding of structural load paths and potential failure modes.
  • Experience with hand calculations and FEA tools such as Femap/Nastran.
  • Knowledge of static and fatigue analysis.
  • Ability to work autonomously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Experience in leadership or mentoring roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in global loads modeling and inertial relief.
  • Familiarity with electric aircraft technologies.
  • Knowledge of composite materials analysis.
  • Experience in crack growth analysis.
  • Proficiency in VBA or similar programming languages.
