David Evans and Associates is seeking a Structural Bridge Specialist to join our team, focusing on bridge engineering projects across various locations in Washington. This role involves engaging in technical bridge engineering tasks, including planning, design, construction engineering, and maintenance of existing structures.

The ideal candidate will support project teams in executing diverse assignments and completing projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the creation of bridge design documents such as concept reports, technical specifications, design calculations, and construction plans.
- Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Conduct condition assessments and generate reports for in-service bridges.
- Develop and verify load rating calculations and associated documentation.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and relay this information to the project team.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience in bridge engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington State.
- Proficiency in structural design software, particularly those used for bridge design, such as SAP2000 and Midas Civil.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD bridge design standards.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Registered Structural Engineer (SE) in Washington State.
- Knowledge of WSDOT and Sound Transit bridge design standards.
