Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Director to join our team at Lowes Foods. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Chicken Kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our store meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Service
    • Ensure that our guests receive polite, friendly service from all Chicken Kitchen staff.
    • Personally demonstrate superior guest service at all times.
  • Operations
    • Achieve sales, shrink, and profit goals for the Chicken Kitchen.
    • Maintain desired levels of inventory and supplies.
    • Operate the department according to strict merchandising and operational standards.
  • Leadership
    • Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure Chicken Kitchen staff achieve satisfactory performance standards.
    • Maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
    • Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
  • Other Duties
    • Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • 2+ years of experience in a food service or retail management role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Friendly, outgoing personality.
    • Ability to work well with others.
    • Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
    • Ability to read and understand information and direction.
    • Knowledge of deli and chicken kitchen operations.
    • Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
    • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
    • Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
