Job Summary

Gable Search Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our freezer warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shipping and receiving, inventory control, and logistics management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of freezer associates and shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely and accurate shipment and receipt of products.
  • Verify and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including product quantities, weights, and condition.
  • Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods.
  • Coordinate and control the handling, storage, and flow of finished products through the freezer warehouse areas.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Ensure that arrangements are made for excess product storage in the warehouse area.
  • Verify the availability of items to be shipped by checking inventory records or conducting a spot inventory of required product.
  • Identify and report slow-moving products and ensure rotation of stock accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all Food Safety and Quality SOPs.
  • Accurately complete Food Safety and Quality Records and communicate any known or suspected Food Safety/Quality issues to the QA Manager and Department Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not required) with 5 years of experience as a warehouse team member.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse procedures and regulations.
  • Certified as a Forklift Operator.
  • Excellent attendance and safety record.
  • Knowledgeable in Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
  • Ability to work in a Freezer Temperature of -20.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Three years of previous experience working in a Controlled Temperature environment.
  • Two years of food manufacturing experience.
  • Four years of experience as a Supervisor.
  • Three years of experience in shipping and receiving.
