Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in security engineering, encompassing computer and network security along with security protocols. Proficiency in coding with one or more general-purpose programming languages.

Possession of an active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms.
  • Background in cybersecurity, covering both compliance and engineering aspects.
  • Experience in full-stack development.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Strong debugging skills in cloud environments, particularly in troubleshooting scalability and availability issues.

About the Role:

The Security team is dedicated to establishing and maintaining a secure operating environment for users and developers alike. Security Engineers engage with network infrastructure and actively monitor systems for potential attacks and intrusions. In this capacity, you will collaborate with software engineers to proactively identify and rectify security vulnerabilities.

As a Security Engineer on the Mandiant Public Sector Security Assurance team, your role will be to ensure that client software and services are designed and executed to meet the highest security standards.

You will be responsible for developing code tailored for mission-critical applications and will work closely with partners and clients to enhance their operational capabilities and security posture.

This position is a prominent consulting role, where you will directly engage with a highly technical client team, enabling them to leverage the latest technologies.

The salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000, in addition to bonuses, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations.

Individual compensation is influenced by work location and various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities:
  • Adapt existing Google services to meet mission requirements.
  • Design and develop Python code that exposes APIs.
  • Manage and debug multiple microservice containers operating within Kubernetes.
  • Act as an interface between customer developers and internal engineering teams.
