Budget and Fiscal Oversight

This position provides critical budget and fiscal oversight of over $300 million in federal and state funds. The successful candidate will assist in preparing, developing, maintaining, and overseeing the division budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing annual budget forecasts for federal revenues and calculate amounts for direct services related to division bureau awards.
  • Monitor actual spending using SHARE and agency reports, perform budget analyses for staffing changes, create budget adjustment requests, and assist in the budget development process.
  • Manage division contracting processes by creating Requests for Proposals for awards, legal contracts, performance measures, and program oversight metrics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration and five (5) years of directly related experience in budgeting, accounting, and/or auditing.
  • Experience with preparation of an agency operating budget and associated requests.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to establish priorities and manage multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Some occasional travel is required for meetings and conferences.
