The selected candidate will need to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Protek Consulting is seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Architect to aid in the assessment and analysis of the client's enterprise architecture. This role will also involve assisting in the development and management of an enterprise business architecture. The ideal candidate will provide insights and recommendations for adjustments to IT strategic objectives based on a thorough evaluation of the client's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical and business insights related to enterprise architecture decisions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and relevance of all architectural documentation and workflows, providing recommendations for system enhancements.
  • Analyze and create documentation that illustrates the interconnections between processes, technologies, applications, and data.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology use cases, weighing feasibility and potential benefits.
  • Conduct Impact Analysis for all Change Requests.
  • Maintain the Enterprise Architecture Roadmap documentation.
  • Develop and sustain detailed DoDAF-based representations of current and future business and IT solutions.
  • Research industry best practices and align them with the priorities outlined in the client's strategic plan.
  • Prepare communication materials and presentations for the developed enterprise architecture artifacts.
  • Interpret new DoD or NIST legislative requirements concerning initiatives like Artificial Intelligence and IT Modernization.
  • Contribute to the development of governance processes, policies, and standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering or System Architecture.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing Enterprise Architecture for IT portfolios.
  • Expertise in creating and maintaining System and Enterprise Architecture views and supporting artifacts aligned with the DoD Architecture Framework.
  • Familiarity with Cloud architecture principles and practices.
  • Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, and Hopex Mega to support the enterprise architecture function.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation abilities.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
