Job Overview

LMI Consulting, LLC is seeking a Strategic Financial Systems Architect to lead initiatives associated with the modernization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This role is crucial in supporting the Army's transition and convergence efforts within financial management.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team of functional experts and technical engineers to dissect intricate business workflows and functional specifications. The objective is to translate these specifications into comprehensive documentation, ensuring technical teams fully grasp the requirements. The role also involves facilitating business process reengineering workshops and verifying that the developed systems align with the outlined requirements.

Note: Remote work is permissible in accordance with current organizational policies, with occasional travel to client locations as necessary.


Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate business process reengineering (BPR) workshops to convert functional specifications into technical directives for system integration contractors.
  • Streamline and unify current financial processes to support convergence initiatives.
  • Assist in crafting essential acquisition and contracting documents for the development of EBS-Convergence Solutions.
  • Collaborate with the functional requirements team to prioritize and categorize requirements into actionable work packages.
  • Act as a Solution Architect and Subject Matter Expert, integrating diverse stakeholder needs into cohesive technical requirements.
  • Develop user stories grounded in Agile methodologies, aligning with functional epics and features.
  • Provide insights to data architecture teams to ensure consistency between application best practices and enterprise data models.
  • Engage with solution architects, functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure clarity in requirements and prototype solutions.
  • Validate system integrator configurations of EBS-C solutions to minimize customizations of core products.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Defense Business Systems or ERP software development projects.
  • Over 10 years of experience in financial management processes, with at least 6 years as a functional expert in SAP-based ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with SAP S4/HANA.
  • Expertise in Army financial processes, including the Program Planning and Budget Execution (PPBE) process.
  • Knowledge of Army logistics processes and their integration within ERP systems.
  • Functional experience with SAP ECC, particularly in modules such as Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results under pressure.

Desired:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies and Project Management.
  • Experience with S4/HANA financial implementations.
