About the Role
The Accounts Receivable Specialist Level 2 will play a critical role in leading client collections, customer contract maintenance, and ensuring timely payments. This position will be responsible for championing A/R billing and collections for all Global Data Centers Americas companies, maintaining positive customer relationships, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Create monthly and usage-based billings to send to customers for assigned entities.
- Work with the accounting department to review and apply all payments received to customer accounts for assigned entities.
- Manage customer invoices through B2B portals and purchasing systems, ensuring seamless on-time payment processes.
- Proactively track and manage customer POs and available funds to prevent late payments.
- Bi-weekly reconcile customer balances by aging bucket and initiate action items to ensure all overdue invoices are paid promptly.
- Participate in collections activities for past due accounts and collaborate with the AR department leader and Legal to determine escalation strategies.
- Provide highest-level customer service and communicate effectively with all levels of management and internal teams.
- Produce monthly AR metrics and aging packages for senior management, including collectability analysis and KPI invoicing and collections targets.
- Participate in accounting for uncollectible accounts and reconcile AR reserve amounts and revenue recognition based on customer uncollectible status.
- Cultivate creative and persistent communication with customers who are consistently late on payments.
- Manage customer contract maintenance and validation of billing data from other departments.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of standard accounts receivable billing and collection practices.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Prior experience with customer AP portals (Ariba, EDI, custom, etc).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and productively in a multi-task deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, dedicated, flexible, and a good team player.
- Initiative and ability to own projects from start to finish with strategic approach.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required.
- Some accounting education required; Accounting-related college degree preferred.
- 5 years of specific B2B Accounts Receivable experience.
- Previous experience with multiple entities and intercompany transactions preferred.
- Large ERP system or Oracle experience preferred.
Work Conditions and Other Requirements
- This position is expected to be remote for the foreseeable future with occasional on-site requirements.
- Travel may be required.
- Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver's license.
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base salary for this position is $34.70 and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with local state and federal 'Wage and Hour' requirements.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
