Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Director to join our team at the Alzheimer's Association. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the success of our large walk event, Walk to End Alzheimer's, in Tennessee.

About the Role

The Fundraising Director will lead a team of dynamic volunteer leaders, leveraging their proven sales and relationship management skills to achieve revenue goals through positive engagement with corporate and community volunteer leaders. This role requires a strong ability to build sustainable corporate and community relationships, drive success, and provide positive engagement with volunteers through coaching, recognition, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, manage, and coach volunteers to effectively implement best and proven practices to achieve fundraising goals
  • Develop and implement strategies for identifying, recruiting, and engaging high-level and C-Suite volunteer leadership
  • Manage event budgets, train volunteers, utilize timelines, and translate data to drive success
  • Build a positive, healthy, and inclusive team environment that results in long-term community and volunteer relationships
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to achieve organizational and revenue goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers and community leaders to achieve goals, preferably in a peer-to-peer fundraising environment
  • Demonstrated management skills, including the ability to set clear goals, organize projects, establish and manage budgets, and establish accountability processes
  • Strong ability to build sustainable corporate and community relationships that contribute to achieving organizational and revenue goals
  • Ability to work with diverse communities and build an inclusive environment
