Senior Manager of Analog and Mixed Signal Engineering

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Mixed Signal IP (MSIP) design team to achieve objectives related to cost, performance, and timely delivery.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and transparency, while striving to exceed expectations and embrace continuous improvement.
- Possess hands-on expertise in analog/mixed signal (AMS) IP designs, including DDR/Serdes PHY circuits, performance optimization, and verification methodologies.
- Oversee the design and tuning of high-speed custom digital/IO/Clocking systems, with a strong preference for experience in high-speed digital design for data and control paths.
- Develop and execute plans to meet established IP goals, collaborating with peers and leaders to prioritize immediate and long-term objectives.
- Engage with cross-functional teams including layout, DFT, PnR, and verification to ensure design convergence and quality assurance.
- Navigate MSIP integration workflows and collaborate with SOC owners on technical requirements for IP collateral.
- Work closely with post-silicon validation and characterization teams to implement and execute post-silicon validation plans, ensuring production readiness of IP.
- Implement and promote best practices in AMS design methodologies to enhance IP development efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with broader AMD teams to integrate new capabilities into the MSIP design process.
- Provide oversight and direction to team activities, monitor project timelines, and drive corrective actions to achieve project goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on experience in high-speed SerDes/DDR PHY design.
- Proven leadership in managing MSIP design teams and technical projects.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex high-speed PHY designs on schedule with exceptional performance metrics.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading high-speed PHY design teams.
- Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to independently resolve issues while collaborating with global teams.
- Strong communication skills complemented by a broad technical background, serving as a key guide for daily execution and design activities.
Educational Background:
A Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with over 15 years of relevant professional experience.
