Lead and manage the Mixed Signal IP (MSIP) design team to achieve cost efficiency, performance targets, and timely market delivery.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Possess hands-on expertise in analog/mixed signal (AMS) IP designs, including DDR/Serdes PHY circuits, performance enhancement, and verification methodologies. Familiarity with mixed-signal and/or digital-first top-down design approaches is essential.
Demonstrated experience in mixed signal IP (MSIP) design, particularly in high-speed custom digital/IO/Clocking design and tuning.
Proficiency in high-speed custom digital design for data and control paths is highly advantageous.Own and drive the strategy to meet established IP objectives. Collaborate with peers and team leaders to prioritize immediate execution needs and long-term strategic initiatives.
Engage with cross-functional teams such as layout, DFT, PnR, and verification to ensure design convergence and quality assurance.
Familiarity with MSIP integration workflows, requirement documentation, quality assurance, and handoff in complex SOC environments is necessary. Ability to communicate and collaborate with SOC owners regarding technical requirements for IP documentation.Work closely with MSIP post-silicon validation and characterization teams to develop and execute post-silicon validation plans and ensure IP production readiness.
Actively participate in debugging and root-cause analysis.Implement and promote best-in-class AMS design methodologies as part of the execution strategy and for ongoing enhancements in IP development timelines and quality.
Uphold superior design practices within the team.Collaborate with broader AMD cross-functional teams to integrate new capabilities into the MSIP design process.
Work directly and hands-on with project management teams to oversee team activities, monitor project timelines, identify corrective actions, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project goals, ensuring successful outcomes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Hands-on experience in high-speed SerDes/DDR PHY design.
Leadership and technical management experience within an MSIP design team.
A proven track record of delivering complex high-speed PHY designs on schedule with exceptional performance metrics.
Over 10 years of experience managing and directing the development of successful high-speed PHY design teams.
Self-motivated, organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
Able to independently drive problem-solving initiatives while collaborating with the global organization and AMD design community to identify optimal solutions to unique challenges.
Balance the need for speed with the quality of decision-making.Strong communication skills combined with a broad technical background.
This role is highly visible, with the team looking to you for guidance in leading execution and design activities on a daily basis.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
MSEE or PhD with 15+ years of relevant professional experience.
