Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our team at Cisco Systems, Inc. as a Lead Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership in the definition and implementation of large-scale block designs on complex chips.
- Mentor team members and track deliverables, participate in peer review of complex IC designs.
- Provide expert advice on design methodology from conception to production.
- Actively contribute to Cisco research initiatives.
- Work with cross-functional groups across Cisco to define future strategies, ensuring alignment and that we are building the accurate and optimized solutions for all teams.
- BSEE degree with 15+ years of experience or equivalent, or an MS degree with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent, or a PhD with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent.
- Prior knowledge in top-down design approach.
- Extensive experience in design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed ICs in at least 3 areas below:
- High Speed Serial Links utilizing serializers, deserializers, and data converters.
- Voltage Regulators.
- High Performance Output Drivers.
- High Performance Phase Locked Loops.
- Opamps and Programmable Gain Amplifiers.
- Prior experience in software using the following: Cadence (Virtuoso), Spectre/APS/SpectreX, layout validation and post-layout extraction tools (Virtuoso or Calibre), EMX, mixed signal simulations in AMS, Matlab.
- Direct experience with electrical transceiver applications, including backplane and cable communications.
- Experience with FinFET technology.
- Floorplanning (power/ground, digital/analog signal routing).
- Design for manufacturability (characterization over PVT, electromigration, power, and IR drop analysis).
- Laboratory validation (solid ESD practices and test high speed interfaces).
