Position Summary:

Experian is seeking a seasoned Lead Personal Finance Content Creator to enhance our expanding Content Marketing team. In this role, you will report directly to the Marketing Manager and contribute to our editorial mission of empowering consumers through actionable educational content that aids in financial improvement and informed decision-making.

Collaborating with fellow writers, editors, and in-house specialists, you will utilize your expertise in personal finance to produce engaging and informative articles for Experian's educational blog. Ideal candidates will be adept at researching, proposing, and composing articles that simplify complex financial concepts for a general audience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality, SEO-optimized articles tailored for our diverse consumer base.
  • Propose, plan, and write both short and long-form articles, often under tight deadlines.
  • Identify relevant topics and content opportunities aligned with our publication strategies.
  • Analyze internal data and tools to create insightful, data-driven educational materials.
  • Support fellow writers with brainstorming, fact-checking, and analytical tasks.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving business requirements.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of writing experience, ideally for a consumer-facing publication with a focus on personal finance.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal finance subjects such as banking, insurance, credit scores, credit cards, and loans.
  • Experience and comfort in data analysis, leveraging insights to craft educational content.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
  • Willingness to engage in Experian's educational video content.
  • Ability to provide published writing samples demonstrating relevant experience.
