Your Role:

We are in search of a proactive Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in our financial planning and oversight initiatives. The Senior Financial Analyst will conduct in-depth financial analyses to support strategic decision-making, including but not limited to, monthly budget comparisons, commission evaluations, and automated financial reporting for senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts thorough research and prepares detailed studies to evaluate financial performance related to revenue generation, funding strategies, portfolio assessments, yield analysis, return on investment, cash flow requirements, and shifts in product offerings and business sectors.

• Develops comprehensive analyses of financial and operational metrics to align with the company’s strategic objectives.

• Interprets financial data to assess current and future performance, recommending actionable improvements.

• Compiles reports and analyses in areas such as budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, statistical evaluations, and cash flow projections.

• Applies financial policies and accounting principles effectively.

• Collaborates with IT to streamline data management systems for enhanced financial analysis and forecasting.

• Assists management in the budget development process and other financial planning activities.

• Supports month-end variance analysis for inclusion in financial reporting packages.

• Aids in fulfilling interim and year-end audit requirements.

• Engages in research related to cash applications, payoffs, waivers, terminations, bookings, vendor reconciliations, and debt funding.

• Reconciles and resolves discrepancies in account activities.

• Aids in refining and standardizing departmental procedures to enhance efficiency.

• Completes special projects and additional tasks as assigned by management.

• Maintains the general ledger and associated records for the organization.

• Adheres to company policies and procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with accounting controls.

• Produces high-quality work with minimal errors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Proficient analytical skills.

• Intermediate experience with Excel is required.

• Dependable and reliable.

• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is preferred.
