The Role:

As the Engineering Lead at Popfly, you will play a pivotal role in our technical operations, establishing the benchmarks for development while collaborating with a global network of contractors. This position is perfect for a proactive engineer who excels in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable with programming languages, and demonstrates resilience and determination daily. You will work closely with the CEO to propel the vision and innovation of Popfly's technical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by Example: Serve as the primary architect and developer, actively engaging in coding and deployment to ensure the ongoing growth and success of our platform. Set the standard for product development and delivery through hands-on leadership.
  • Global Coordination: Collaborate with contractors across various regions, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and adhere to our high standards. Develop clear specifications for developers across different time zones to facilitate smooth collaboration.
  • Comprehensive Development: Leverage your expertise in technologies such as React, JavaScript, .NET, Python, and SQL to build robust, scalable solutions. Be open to learning and integrating new technologies into our existing framework as necessary.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with the CEO to align technical initiatives with the broader vision and strategic objectives of the company.
  • Dynamic Execution: Flourish in a rapidly changing environment where priorities may shift quickly. Balance immediate operational needs with a vision for future scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in software engineering with strong full-stack development capabilities.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in React, JavaScript, .NET, Python, SQL, and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Flexibility in learning and adapting to the existing technology stack is crucial.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Ability to lead through action, focusing on coding and guiding contractors to achieve project objectives. Set the technical and cultural tone for the team.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A passion for innovation and a desire to create and scale impactful technological solutions.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, with a readiness to confront new challenges and adjust to changing priorities.

Compensation:

The starting salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be adjusted in the future.

$125,000 - $180,000

This position is also eligible for participation in the company's equity plan, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
