The Role:

As the Engineering Lead at Popfly, you will play a pivotal role in our technical operations, establishing benchmarks for development while collaborating with a global network of contractors. This position is perfect for a proactive engineer who excels in a dynamic setting, is adaptable with programming languages, and demonstrates resilience and determination daily. You will work directly with the CEO to advance the vision and innovation of Popfly's technical framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by Example: Serve as the chief architect and developer, actively engaging in coding and deploying solutions to ensure the ongoing growth and success of our platform. Set the standard for product development and delivery through hands-on leadership.
  • Global Coordination: Facilitate collaboration with contractors across various countries, ensuring that projects are executed effectively and adhere to our high standards. Draft clear specifications for developers across different time zones to promote seamless teamwork.
  • Comprehensive Development: Leverage your skills in languages and frameworks such as React, JavaScript, .NET, Python, and SQL to develop robust, scalable solutions. Be ready to learn and integrate new technologies into our existing stack as required.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with the CEO to ensure that technical development aligns with the company's broader vision and strategic objectives.
  • Flexible Execution: Excel in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment where priorities may shift rapidly. Balance immediate needs with a vision for future scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Over 5 years in software engineering with strong full-stack development expertise.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in React, JavaScript, .NET, Python, SQL, and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Flexibility in learning and integrating with the existing technology stack is crucial.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Capability to lead by example, focusing on coding and guiding contractors to achieve project objectives. Set the tone for the team, both technically and culturally.
  • Innovative Mindset: A passion for innovation and a desire to develop and scale impactful technology solutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a readiness to face new challenges and adjust to changing priorities.

Compensation:

The starting salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be adjusted in the future.

$125,000 - $180,000

This position is also eligible to participate in the company's equity plan, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
