About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at Graybar, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing timely, professional, and courteous support. Your primary responsibility will be to interact with customers on an ongoing basis, entering orders, handling requests, and providing assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure every customer experience meets the highest standards of quality
  • Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls and written correspondence in a professional and timely manner, with follow-up on all customer issues
  • Take an active role in selling Graybar goods and services on inbound calls
  • Provide support on product selection and application
  • Coordinate customer service requests, including order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit, and claims
Requirements and Skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact
  • Some retail or counter sales experience preferred
  • 2-year or 4-year degree preferred
Work Schedule and Compensation
  • Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm
  • Predictable work schedule to plan your life around: no weekends or nights for most roles
  • Starting pay rate of $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
